Core-Mark Partners With Skupos for Scan Data

Agreement allows customers access to tobacco incentives and discounts

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Convenience-store distributor Core-Mark International has selected Skupos, a scan data tech platform for convenience retail, as its core partner for scan data technology. The partnership allows Core-Mark customers access to tobacco scan data incentives and multipack discounts.

Skupos is one of 13 Core-Mark core partners. The core partner program is designed to help connect Core-Mark customers to business and service partners that help them compete. Additionally, the core partner program specializes in offering resources specially designed to help the independent operator increase profitability. 

“This program enables Core-Mark’s customer base to connect with the best-in-class service partners to enhance business outcomes. Aligning the Skupos technology offering with this program will allow Core-Mark’s retail customers to increase profitability and stay ahead of the curve in the evolving digital c-store ecosystem,” said Jake Bolling, CEO of Skupos.

The core partner program’s target audience closely aligns to Skupos’ customer base, which is more than 60% independent retailers. Furthermore, Skupos is now working with thousands of stores, 335 of which are Core-Mark customers.

Founded in 2016, San Francisco-based Skupos provides retailers, distributors and CPG brands with sales insights. Skupos’ software unlocks efficiencies, enabling data-driven decisions. More than 5,000 customers use the Skupos platform.

South San Francisco, Calif.-based Core-Mark offers a variety of products, marketing programs and technologies to more than 44,000 customer locations in the United States and Canada through 32 distribution centers. Core-Mark services traditional convenience retailers, grocers, drug, liquor and specialty stores, as well as other stores that carry convenience products.
