Core-Mark, PDI Partner to Provide Loyalty Solutions to C-Stores

Exclusive convenience distributor marketing tech firm’s loyalty, store operations products

WESTLAKE, Texas, and ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Core-Mark International Inc., one of the largest marketers of fresh food and broad-line supply solutions to the convenience-store industry in North America, and PDI, a provider of enterprise software solutions to the convenience retail, wholesale petroleum and logistics industries, have formed a partnership.

As the exclusive convenience wholesale distributor to market PDI's loyalty and store operations products, Core-Mark will offer its customers software and services from PDI Marketing Cloud Solutions, including:

  • Proprietary loyalty solutions designed to help independent and small chains drive profitable consumer behavior and overall customer engagement.
  • Branded loyalty programs and services.
  • Tobacco scan data and loyalty reporting that increases revenue from tobacco manufacturers for independents and chains of all sizes.
  • PDI CStore Essentials, a cloud-based store operations software designed to improve operational efficiency and control from the store to the home office for independents and small chains.
  • Access to funded promotions from Core-Mark’s and PDI’s consumer packaged goods (CPG) partner networks.

Core-Mark’s network of CPG brands and retailers will also benefit from real-time data and on-demand insights that enhance customer engagement and program performance, the companies said.

Alpharetta, Ga.-based Professional Datasolutions Inc. helps c-store retailers and petroleum wholesalers transform digitally with enterprise software that enables them to grow topline revenue, optimize operations and unify their business across the entire value chain, the company said. More than 1,500 customers in more than 200,000 with its enterprise resource planning (ERP), logistics, fuel pricing and marketing cloud solutions intended to provide insights that increase volume, margin and customer loyalty. PDI owns and operates the Fuel Rewards loyalty program.

Westlake, Texas-based Core-Mark offers a range of products, marketing programs and technology solutions to approximately 40,000 locations in the United States and Canada through 32 distribution centers. Core-Mark services traditional convenience stores, grocers, drug stores, mass merchants, liquor and specialty stores, and other stores that carry convenience products.
