Two convenience retailers, CrossAmerica Partners and Petroleum Marketing Group (PMG), have joined Mako Networks’ all-in program. Through the initiative, the companies will bring eligible locations onto Mako’s next-generation cloud-managed retail connectivity platform.

Elgin, Illinois-based Mako said its all-in program is designed for forward-thinking operators who want to elevate network resilience, simplify operations and unify their technology stack on a platform trusted across nearly every major U.S. fuel brand.

CrossAmerica Partners LP, a wholesale fuel distributor and c-store operator, will deploy Mako’s solutions across its brands, including ExxonMobil, bp, Phillips 66, Valero, Motiva (76 branded), Citgo, Marathon and unbranded locations, Mako said.

“CrossAmerica Partners is committed to delivering operational excellence at every store we support,” said Bob Brecker, executive vice president of operations at CrossAmerica. “Mako gives us a unified, compliant and resilient network platform that scales seamlessly across every one of our eligible petroleum brands.”

  • CrossAmerica Partners LP is tied for No. 24 on CSP’s2026 Top 40 update to the 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count. Watch for the full 2026 Top 202 ranking in June.

Allentown, Pennsylvania-based CrossAmerica Partners has more than 350 stores and provides fuel and services to partners at nearly 2,000 locations.

Petroleum Marketing Group will deploy Mako’s services across its brands, including ExxonMobil, bp, Sunoco, Citgo, Marathon, 76 and unbranded locations.

“Our retail locations require high uptime and strong security, and Mako delivers on both with offering minimal complexity and outstanding support,” said Anoush Rashidi, vice president of operations at PMG. “We’re excited to deepen our partnership and are already exploring Mako’s software offerings to help future-proof our network.”

PMG, Falls Church, Virginia, is one of the largest fuel distributors in the eastern United States, with a network of more than 1,200 sites. It also operates convenience stores, picking up nine from Blythewood Oil Co. in January.

Both CrossAmerica and PMG are using several tools in the Mako ecosystem including Mako 6600 Series Payment Card Industry (PCI)-certified firewall appliances, integrated cellular failover for maximum uptime, Mako’s hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) platform and more.

Mako Networks delivers cloud-managed, PCI-certified security, networking and Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solutions built for complex, distributed retail and fuel environments.
