DALLAS -- PDI-owned Excentus and FIS, a finance tech provider, are making real-time reward points available to consumers at about 13,400 Shell-branded fuel stations across the United States.

More than 23 million customers can participate in the FIS Premium Payback redemption network, which links thousands of retail point-of-sale locations with customer card rewards programs. The program, which complements existing retailer rewards programs, helps merchants and retailers increase traffic, grow revenue and enhance customer engagement and loyalty.

“We are excited to partner with FIS to offer its Premium Payback program at Shell-branded fuel stations,” said Brian Jefferson, senior vice president of business development for Excentus, Dallas. “With a single swipe of a payment card, FIS Loyalty program customers will be able to turn their points into savings on quality Shell fuel, delivering real-time value at the pump, while encouraging future visits.”

“With its real-time redemption capabilities and broad network of participating rewards programs, FIS Premium Payback helps retailers like Shell differentiate themselves at point-of-sale and drive return business,” said Bruce Lowthers, COO of integrated payment solutions for FIS. “We look forward to working with Excentus to roll out this exciting initiative.”

Temple, Texas-based PDI, which owns Excentus, works with convenience-store retailers and petroleum wholesale marketers worldwide with enterprise management software.

FIS, based in Jacksonville, Fla., is a financial services tech supplier with a focus on retail. It serves more than 20,000 clients in more than 130 countries.
