Convenience-store retailer Friendly Express, Waycross, Georgia, has redesigned its mobile app, which features order ahead, pay at the pump and rewards.
- Lewis & Raulerson Inc. is No. 173 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.
“Friendly Express has always been about putting our customers first,” said Gabe Manning, director of operations at Friendly Express. “Our new app helps us serve them better by combining the tools they expect, like mobile pay and delivery, with the experience and hospitality they’ve come to love in our stores.”
Built on the St. Louis-based Rovertown platform, the new app brings together Friendly Express Rewards (powered by Velocity Logic, Binghamton, New York), Express Debit (powered by PDI, Alpharetta, Georgia) and ordering and delivery (powered by Vroom Delivery, Miami) into one experience.
It's also integrated with Paylocity, a payroll software solution company based in Schaumburg, Illinois, so the new app gives Friendly Express the ability to engage with employees by offering exclusive offers directly in the app.
“Our employees are the heart of Friendly Express,” said Raul Buenrostro, director of marketing at Friendly Express. “These app-exclusive offers give them new ways to stay engaged, informed and excited about promoting our products and brand.”
The app also includes a rotating selection of games in the Friendly Arcade, where customers earn coins redeemable for pizza, fountain drinks and more. A separate Scratch & Win game provides daily opportunities to instantly win prizes.
“With this launch, we’re giving our guests more ways than ever to connect with Friendly Express,” said David Turner, president at Friendly Express. “From earning rewards to paying at the pump and unlocking fun prizes, it’s all about making every interaction faster, easier, and more rewarding.”
Founded in 1989 as a single store just outside Waycross, Georgia, Friendly Express has grown through acquisitions and expansion to nearly 40 locations across southeast Georgia. Friendly Express is owned by Lewis & Raulerson Inc.
