PRINCETON, N.J. & TYSONS CORNER, Va. -- One of the industry's larger payment processors has switched business-intelligence (BI) software providers, with the change affecting its petroleum and convenience store offer, the companies announced yesterday. Heartland Payment Systems has replaced its SAP BusinessObjects installation with a product from MicroStrategy Inc.
Heartland will use MicroStrategy to enhance the reporting and analytics it provides to its merchants, inclusive of clients in the petroleum and c-store sector. With MicroStrategy, Heartland's customers will have enhanced access to data, helping retailers spot trends and anticipate changes in their business.

"As a result of the new agreement, our customers will have a single reporting platform with more features and functionality, allowing them to better manage their businesses."
