How C-Stores Can Use Contact Tracing to Fight COVID-19

CSP speaks with a workforce management expert on how this method can help keep retailers safe

CHICAGO — Convenience-store retailers may want to consider using contact tracing as a method to keep their stores safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), contact tracing involves identifying people who have an infectious disease—including COVID-19—and anyone they came in contact with to help interrupt its spread.

How can contact tracing be used in convenience stores when customers are popping in and out by the minute?

On this episode of At Your Convenience, CSP editor Brett Dworski is joined by Amanda Nichols, senior manager of industry marketing, retail, hospitality and foodservice for Kronos, Lowell, Mass., a workforce management and human capital management cloud provider, to talk about contact tracing. Listen as Brett and Amanda discuss why contact tracing is important during the coronavirus pandemic, how c-store operators can use it, how retailers can remain agile during this crisis and more.
