In this episode of “At Your Convenience,” Fidaa Mohrez, senior director of operational systems at H&S Energy Group; Kumeil Hosain, founder and CEO of Xenia; and Abbey Lewis, vice president of content strategy, discuss what the partnership means for H&S Energy.
With beer caves, car washes and various formats across different regions, H&S needed a platform with store hierarchy capabilities and customizability across its portfolio of locations.
Xenia aims to boost execution and create a clear line-of-sight among team members.
“Within our operation we do a lot of daily tasks and forms—Xenia helps automate everything,” said Fidaa Mohrez, senior director of operational systems at H&S Energy Group. “We've migrated off of our prior solution along with verbal and paper checklists to scheduled digital work. Xenia’s task management system connects all departments, starting with HR, forms like onboarding checklists and transfers between sites. We've eliminated significant amounts of manual work—our next phase is digitizing audit forms and will soon tackle all other operational checklists. By that point, our end users will be completely comfortable with Xenia.”
H&S Energy Group’s new set of tools from Xenia include:
- Advanced approval workflows: routing and smart notifications to move tasks and store human resources, incident submissions through approval channels.
- Store accountability and photo-based evidence: image-based reporting capabilities for store pricing updates, daily performance checks and audits.
- Customizable analytics: actionable insights on store performance to enable data-driven decision making.
- Interactive feedback tools: visual collaboration capabilities to enhance communication between teams and management.
- Comprehensive task management: streamlined processes for daily operations, audits and promotions.
- Unlimited user access: complete team coverage.
"The H&S team have been incredible partners, not just in executing the software, but also in helping shape our roadmap—imagining new use cases we had not considered. … it’s a true partnership," said Kumeil Hosain, CEO of Xenia.
H&S Energy Group doubled its convenience-store network in March 2024, when it announced its acquisition of the retail convenience-store, fuels distribution, cardlock, fleet card, commercial fueling, car wash, lubricants and transportation businesses of Andretti Petroleum Group. H&S Energy now has 368 stores.
