HST Enters Gas Station, C-Store Market

PowerShield installed at Chevron station

DEL MAR, Calif. -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, USMC (Retired), CEO of Homeland Security Technology Inc., a division of Amnis Inc., said that HST has completed the first contracted installation of its PowerShield security window laminate at the Poinsettia Village Chevron in Carlsbad, Calif.

Owned by Narian Oil Inc., this station is one of several Chevron/Food Mart locations in San Diego County. This contract, valued at just under $6,000 represents the first of many installations HST hopes to accomplish on gas stations and convenience stores in California, [image-nocss] the company said.

The PowerShield laminate is perfect for our windows because it provides invisible protection 24 hours a day, said the retailer's business manager, Paul Montgomery. The film is crystal clear. The crew completed installation in less than six hours and the application of the film during business hours did not impact on business.

With this contract we are expanding our customer base from our recent focus on government and jewelry stores to the convenience store market. PowerShield has been accepted as a viable solution to expensive impact-resistant glass products, and we will continue marketing the laminate as a smash-and-grab' deterrent to more and more retail businesses in the coming months, said Jeffrey Powers, CEO of San Diego-based HST.

HST's mission is to develop and commercialize technology focused on providing increased security for both civilian and military personnel throughout the world.. The company has also partnered with security firms to design and market surveillance systems for homeland defense security applications, it said.
