Johnny’s Markets, a convenience-store chain based in Marshall, Michigan, and operated by Walters-Dimmick Petroleum Inc., has partnered with Vroom Delivery, according to a LinkedIn post from Houston-based Vroom.

The launch leverages integrations including automated menus and ring-ups with PDI Technologies’ Commerce Application Programming Interface (API) so that orders don’t need to be entered into the point-of-sale (POS) system.

PDI is a convenience retail technology company based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The API also offers Stacked Shell Fuel Rewards with PDI Technologies Loyalty so both in-store and fuel customers can get the same points and deals when they order online, according to the LinkedIn post.

  • Walters-Dimmick Petroleum Inc. is No. 104 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by number of company-operated retail outlets.

Earlier this year, Johnny’s Market unveiled a new J+ Club loyalty and rewards app, which offers savings on select in-store items and on every fuel purchase. Along with rewards, the app has a mini game called Seed Speeder, allowing members to earn even more savings, redeemable at any Johnny’s location. Members can also manage car wash subscriptions and single-wash purchases, check Michigan and Indiana Lottery numbers, shop the online store and more.

In February, Vroom Delivery launched Commerce 360, a “full-stack” digital commerce solution designed specifically for convenience stores. The platform facilitates a seamless omnichannel experience by automating the management of product information and inventory across all digital ordering and delivery channels. In April, Vroom partnered with payment processor Finix to offer Pay360, an online payment solution that allows for the secure online sale of age-restricted items at convenience stores.
