K&G Petroleum, a convenience-store chain based in Littleton, Colorado, that owns 33 Pure Auto Wash sites in Colorado and Nevada, is now leveraging a car wash app from DRB, a Vontier company.

  • K&G Petroleum is No. 102 on CSP2024 Top 202 ranking of convenience-store chains by store count.

Pures branded car wash app is powered by DRBs Beacon Mobile technology. K&G plans to roll out a monthly membership plan to customers while also providing a loyalty plan to drive pay-as-you-go visits for customers not interested in a monthly commitment. Customers can also purchase, manage and redeem car wash services from the app.

“Beacon Mobile represents our commitment to providing a comprehensive one-stop-shop experience for customers seeking food, fuel and car wash services,” said Amar Preet Puri, co-owner of K&G. “By leveraging DRBs technology, were modernizing our approach to meet todays digital-first consumer expectations.”

DRB aims to modernize the car wash customer experience.

“Beacon Mobile empowers convenience-store car wash operators to offer frictionless, modern solutions that meet the increasing digital expectations of todays consumers,” said Alison Amira, senior director of engagement solutions at DRB. “The app drives increased retail traffic, which is the precursor to driving increased membership. So not only does Beacon Mobile enable IBAs [in-bay automatic car washes] to launch membership programs, it also helps them grow rapidly.”

K&G Petroleum owns stores under the 7-Eleven brand in Denver and Las Vegas and Jennys Markets in Denver. The company seeks strategic growth, targeting five to eight new stores per year if circumstances are right. Car wash was a focus in 2023. All new stores will have a car wash moving forward. The company also is testing electric-vehicle (EV) charging stations at five stations in Denver in partnership with fuel-provider Phillips. Sinclair is the fuel brand at the Las Vegas sites and ConocoPhillips is dominant in Denver.
