Kum & Go, QuikTrip Add TransFund ATMs

Chains expand relationships with network

TULSA, Okla. -- Kum & Go LC and QuikTrip Corp. have both expanded their ATM relationships with TransFund, a Tulsa, Okla.-based network affiliated with BOK Financial Corp.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go has announced a 100-store expansion of Kum & Go's ATM relationship with TransFund.

New ATMs will be deployed at all Kum and Go locations in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas under the TransFund Totally Free or TransFund NC brands, bringing the total number of TransFund/Kum & Go ATMs to 102.

This ATM program has a positive impact on our current and future customers, said Jack Wilkie, senior vice president of marketing for Kum & Go.Allowing customer access to their cash, with no surcharge and no fees from the issuing banks, is another way for us to exceed customer expectations. Plus this is a great way for Kum & Go to distinguish our offering from other convenience stores.

Kum & Go operates more than 445 stores in 13 states (Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Colorado, Arkansas, Wyoming and Wisconsin).

Separately, Tulsa-based QuikTrip Corp. said it will expand its existing ATM relationship with TransFund to its 40 c-stores in Texas, located in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, beginning in November 2006.

This expansion will provide QuikTrip clientele with ATM service from the 10th largest ATM network in the United States, the companies said, and it increases TransFund's established presence in Texas. It also will provide customers with TransFund Totally Free, a program that provides free ATM service to clientele whose financial institution is a member of TransFund.

Paula Cotten, QuikTrip's vice president of finance and treasurer, said, Waiving the surcharge on cash withdrawals for member cardholders is an important step in serving the needs of our clientele. Having those bank and credit union members reciprocate by waiving their foreign ATM fees creates an extremely valuable service for the end customer. This will compliment our tremendous growth in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Scott Norvell, Senior Vice President for TransFund, said the ATM provider has benefited from more than two decades of partnership with QuikTrip. TransFund is already located in all QuikTrip stores in Oklahoma.

ATMs will be deployed at all QuikTrip locations in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area under the TransFund Totally Free or TransFund NC brands.

QuikTrip currently owns and operates 472 retail outlets in nine states.
