MAPP Taps Retail Optimization

Implements new scanning and software program

FAIRFIELD, Conn. --  Mid Atlantic Petroleum Properties LLC, operator of 30 convenience stores in the Mid-Atlantic area, has tapped Fairfield, Conn.-based Retail Optimization Group LLC to manage the implementation of its S2K scanning and back-office software program.

Retail Optimization Group will manage the entire implementation process: reviewing all the MAPP sites for any equipment enhancements or other pre-software installation needs, working with the equipment vendor, software vendor, food wholesaler and all other parties to ensure proper preparation and implementation.

In addition to its c-store network, MAPP is a commercial real-estate developer and a wholesaler of the Sunoco fuel brand. It also supplies unbranded stations with its proprietary Washingtonian Express stores. The company was founded in 1995 by Carlos Horcasitas and May-May Au.

Retail Optimization Group is a vendor that works with retailers and fuel marketers in implementing and maximizing retail technology for inventory control, best practices for human resourcing (including background checks), detailed knowledge of co-branding and store merchandizing to improve the bottom line.
