More than 5,200 independent convenience stores are deploying InStore.ai, a real-time voice insights analyst for retailers at point-of-sale. This is in partnership with Strategic Alliance for Affiliated Store Owners of America (SAASOA), which is equipping operators with the technology to strengthen loyalty enrollment, upselling and promotion mentions at the counter.

The technology was rolled out in February with phased installation and enablement across regions. Member stores will receive implementation support, best-practice playbooks and access to insights tailored for owners, district leaders and store managers.

“Independent c-store owners need results that are easy to implement and fast to realize,” said Jigar Patel, vice president of SAASOA USA and CEO of Daphne, Alabama-based Fastime c-stores. “By capturing and analyzing the everyday conversations at the counter, InStore.ai gives our retail members clear transparency into what’s working and what isn’t, so they can coach their teams, tighten operations and consistently execute loyalty and promotional programs. We’re excited to bring this capability to our more than 5,200 member locations.”

InStore.ai’s edge-to-cloud platform securely captures customer and cashier interactions and delivers AI-driven dashboards and alerts—creating a new operational signal for store leaders, the company said. With consistent transparency into greetings, offer mentions, loyalty prompts and service issues, operators can coach frontline teams more effectively and close execution gaps in days rather than months, it said.

“This is a major milestone for independent retail,” said Jay Blazensky, co-founder and CEO of InStore.ai, Los Gatos, California. “Frontline employees hold the key to in-store execution. SAASOA’s commitment to deploy InStore.ai systemwide means thousands of stores will gain a durable operating advantage—higher team member engagement, cleaner execution of promotions and a better overall shopper experience. We’re honored to help SAASOA members turn everyday conversations into measurable impact and performance improvement.”

Spanish Fort, Alabama-based SAASOA is a non-profit organization serving gas station, convenience store, smoke shop and liquor store owners.
