NEP Offers Free Job Placement to Hurricane-Displaced Workers

Search firm, in cooperation with CSP, to provide employment, related services

LARGO, Fla. -- Employee-placement firm The National Executive Personnel & Marketing Group (NEP), in cooperation with CSP Information Group, is offering its services free to convenience store industry employees whose jobs were lost as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Company officials say they hope to help those in need by placing them in jobs as soon as possible at no cost to the employees or the employers.

We want to help the people hurt by this hurricane to get back some of their dignity and their livelihood, said Dick Wood, president of NEP, which [image-nocss] is working with CSP to communicate its offer and make its services available to the displaced workers.

We're going to use every form of communication we can to get the message out to the folks that have been devastated by the hurricane to provide us their background, Wood said. We'll then invite any retailers, suppliers, manufacturers and any other companies to participate and post positions that they need to fill. It doesn't matter what level [of employee] they need. We will then take the database and match these people to these companies.

Wood said NEP will also provide resume development services if needed. We'll help the candidates get their information in the format they need, he said.

In an early outreach to gauge interest from employers, Wood said he has heard overwhelming support. We've made probably 30 calls and haven't had a negative response yet, he said.

He said some of the employers he has spoken with have even begun considering housing needs for the potential new employees.

More information about working with NEP as either a potential employee or employer in any capacity, upstream or downstream, is available by calling (800) 314-8365 or clicking here. Retailers interested in more information on the NEP offer may also call CSP Information Group at (630) 574-5075.
