TEMPLE, Texas—PDI, a provider of enterprise-class software systems to the convenience-retail, petroleum-marketing and foodservice industries, recently announced the appointment of Jimmy Frangis as chief operating officer.
“This is an exciting day for PDI and our customers. We are fortunate to strengthen our team with a leader of Jimmy’s caliber,” said Greg Gilkerson, president and CEO of PDI, Temple, Texas. “In addition to his reputation as a well-known industry expert with significant global, retail experience, he is a values-driven individual whom I deeply respect.”
Frangis led a successful partnering strategy between another software provider, Radiant Systems, and PDI several years ago, Gilkerson said.

In his past jobs, he served as vice president of several divisions, including payment services, retail services, grocery and convenience retail, and petroleum and convenience retail.
