AUSTIN, Texas -- PerformanceRetail, a leading provider of web-based software for the high-velocity retail industry, announced the 10 customers that have signed on to pilot new versions of the PerformanceRetail InSite software and services suite.

This announcement highlights recent efforts by convenience retailers to adopt modern software solutions that bring enhanced item-level visibility into sales transactions, loss-prevention metrics, category management analytics, market basket dynamics and overall store performance, the company said. The retailers [image-nocss] have agreed to pilot components of InSite, a modular, web-based suite of retail intelligence, store operations and merchandising applications that are specifically designed to address these requirements.

Among the customers:

The InSite solution, now in its second generation, is web-based, delivered as a secure service over the Internet and can be housed in either PerformanceRetail's datacenter or the customer's environment. Further, InSite's retail intelligence, store operations and merchandising suites are designed to integrate with customer-installed legacy systems and can be deployed at the retailer's pace, simplifying implementation, reducing risk and protecting the retailer's past technology investments.

The new customers have agreed to pilot InSite on top of industry-specific legacy systems from a variety of companies including Professional Datasolutions Inc. (PDI), The Pinnacle Corp., DataMax Group Inc., Verifone Inc., Radiant Systems Inc. and Dresser Wayne, PerformanceRetail said.
