Pinnacle Renews Microsoft Certified Partner Status

Requalifies for Microsoft solution competencies

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp., a leading supplier of automation technology to the convenience store and petroleum industries, announced that it has achieved five Silver Level Competencies in the Microsoft Partner Network, demonstrating its ability to meet Microsoft customers' evolving needs in today's dynamic business environment.

To earn each Microsoft Silver Competency, Pinnacle completed a set of tests and qualifications to prove its level of technology expertise.

As a certified partner in Microsoft's Partner Network, Pinnacle has demonstrated expertise [image-nocss] with Microsoft technologies and proven ability to meet customers' needs. Microsoft Partners receive a set of benefits, including access, training and support.

The Microsoft Partner Program was originally launched in October 2003; Pinnacle has maintained its Partner certification status since 2005.

"We are pleased to continue our certified partner status in the Microsoft Partner Network," said Drew Mize, Pinnacle's vice president of product management and marketing. "This achievement allows us to promote our expertise and relationship with Microsoft, and affords our organization benefits that enable us to drive more value into the solutions we deliver to market."
"By achieving a Silver Competency, partners have proven themselves as specialized technology experts with the skills needed to best serve customers," said Jon Roskill, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. "The Silver Competency in the Microsoft Partner Network is designed to help customers identify services and solution providers that have demonstrated proof of their capability to deliver quality outcomes and customer satisfaction."

As one of the requirements to participate in the Microsoft Partner Network, Pinnacle had to declare and qualify for at least one specialized Microsoft Competency. These competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner's capabilities in specific Microsoft technologies, and each has a unique set of requirements and benefits formulated to accurately represent specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.

This year, Pinnacle has achieved five Microsoft Competencies at the Silver Level: ISV Competency: Recognizing the skill and focus partners bring to a particular solution set. Microsoft Certified Partners that have obtained this competency have a successful record of developing and marketing packaged software based on Microsoft technologies. Data Platform Competency: For showcasing skills in developing database applications based on Microsoft technology, including the Microsoft SQL Server data platform. Enterprise Resource Planning Competency: Recognizing expertise in deploying Microsoft Dynamics business management solutions, with specialization in Microsoft's Dynamics GP platform. Hosting Competency: Recognizing expertise in providing and managing hosting capabilities. Midmarket Solution Provider Competency: For expertise in providing solutions to midsize business by offering the most current technology and IT solutions knowledge that helps midsize businesses with their unique challenges. In addition to these competencies, Pinnacle also earned the Microsoft Small Business Specialist status within the Microsoft Partner Network; proving expertise in building, customizing, deploying and supporting IT solutions for businesses.
