Radiant Systems to Acquire MenuLink

Will link Aloha POS to backoffice solution

ATLANTA -- Radiant Systems Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire MenuLink Computer Solutions Inc., an independent supplier of backoffice software for the hospitality industry. The deal delivers an integrated solution linking the suite of Radiant hardware devices and Aloha Point-of-Sale (POS) applications to the open architecture and feature set of MenuLink's backoffice software.

The combination of MenuLink's backoffice applications and the Aloha suite of products including QuickService/TableService POS, Enterprise, eCard and eFrequency, [image-nocss] create an end-to-end solution designed to help operators minimize operational costs. MenuLink currently serves more than 9,000 restaurant sites across more than 280 chains.

The acquisition of Huntington Beach, Calif.-based MenuLink Computer Solutions is expected to close early fourth quarter of 2005, subject to standard closing conditions and adjustments. Radiant Systems said it expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings in 2006.

Atlanta-based Radiant Systems provides store technology for the foodservice, petroleum, convenience retail and entertainment industries.
