Upside, a cashback rewards platform for retailers including c-stores and grocery stores, now offers its app in Spanish.

To help raise awareness, Heritage Grocers Group (HGG), a group of Hispanic grocery chains, is partnering with Upside on a campaign to promote the app in Spanish. The effort includes co-branded radio ads, Spanish-language media, social content and in-store touchpoints.

“This update makes the Upside app even more accessible and creates new incremental profit for our retail partners,” said Alex Kinnier, co-founder and CEO of Upside. “We’re excited to work with Heritage Grocers Group to help spread the word in the communities they know best.”

Existing users whose device language is set to Spanish will now automatically see the app in their preferred language.

“At Heritage Grocers Group, we always focus on meeting the unique needs and preferences of our customers in the diverse communities where we operate,” said Adam Salgado, interim senior vice president of marketing at the Ontario, California-based company. “By promoting the Upside app in Spanish, we’re proud to build on that commitment and empower our valued customers with even more ways to save on their everyday purchases.”

Washington, D.C.-based Upside is a digital marketplace that connects customers with brick-and-mortar retailers. Customers can download the free Upside app to earn cash back from retailers ranging from Circle K to Taco Bell and more.
