VenHub Global has introduced a technology that automatically generates real-time planograms for its autonomous Smart Stores, the company announced on Thursday.

The VenHub Vision System uses artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision to identify products placed on shelves and create optimized planograms without manual setup. The system is designed to reduce configuration time and enable faster product changeovers.

According to the company, the technology allows store layouts to adjust dynamically based on time of day, product demand and shopper behavior. In convenience settings, it can support daypart merchandising, shifting product placement for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack occasions. It also enables retailers to swap products as demand patterns change throughout the season.

“This is what intelligent retail looks like,” said Shahan Ohanessian, founder and CEO of VenHub. He said the system moves the company closer to a fully automated retail ecosystem that can adapt to consumer needs in real time.

Demonstrations of the system are available for retail partners.

The Las Vegas-based company combines robotics, automation and mobile-first technology. It operates five autonomous, unattended locations, called Smart Stores, in California, including Los Angeles Union Station, according to the company’s website. VenHub recently started trading on Nasdaq.
