Vroom Delivery, a provider of e-commerce software for the convenience-store industry, is working with PAR Technology Inc.’s Punchh, a provider of loyalty software, to enhance the online shopping experience for consumers at convenience stores, the companies said.

The partnership will allow convenience-store operators to more easily list products online and provide loyalty rewards to consumers for online purchases.

The average delivery transaction with loyalty on Vroom is over $40, the company said, which is several times the average in-store transaction.

Among the convenience-store chains working with Chicago-based Vroom is Martin & Bayley Inc.'s Huck's, a c-store chain based in Carmi, Illinois, with more than 120 locations in Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois.

Jon Bunch, director of marketing and business development at Huck’s, a said the company plans to launch Hucks’ Online ordering this summer. “This partnership between Punchh and Vroom Delivery will allow our many loyalty customers to have access to the same deals and offers online as they do in-store, further enhancing our robust digital capabilities,” he said.

In November 2022, Vroom Delivery received investment capital from convenience-store chains, such as Wesco and FavTrip, to help Vroom expand its automation development and reach new retailers throughout the nation. The partnership with Punchh represents one way Vroom is expanding.

“Our partnership with Vroom Delivery highlights how integral omnichannel solutions are to the convenience vertical, as well as how critical it is to offer real-time fulfillment,” said Savneet Singh, president and CEO at PAR Technology’s Punchh. “We’re pleased to be able to partner with Vroom Delivery to reward customers and accelerate a higher standard in delivery, curbside and in-store transactions within the convenience store space.”

Vroom Delivery, founded in 2016, provides a full-stack e-commerce solution for convenience stores that aims to cover every technical aspect involved in offering e-commerce and delivery services.

PAR Technology has provided hardware and software to the restaurant industry for over 40 years. It acquired Punchh Inc.’s software-as-a-service-based customer loyalty and engagement solutions in 2021 and offers a unified commerce cloud platform for enterprise restaurants.
