Wallis Cos. has launched online ordering and delivery at its On the Run convenience stores through the Vroom Delivery platform.

Wallis Cos. already had its Dirt Cheap liquor stores on Vroom Delivery since April 2023, John Nelson, co-founder and CEO of Vroom Delivery, told CSP. Now, it has launched online ordering and delivery at 12 On the Run stores around Missouri.

PDI Technologies helped Vroom scale the Wallis team’s program across their network.

“On The Run customers around Missouri can now get beer, wine, liquor, sandwiches, snacks, groceries, tobacco, household essentials and more all delivered to their home,” Vroom Delivery said a LinkedIn post announcing the news in late September.

Nelson said On the Run plans to roll Vroom Delivery’s platform out to more of its nearly 60 stores soon.

Vroom Delivery, based in Miami, is a full-stack digital commerce solution for convenience stores, providing technical aspects required for c-store chains to operate, automate and manage e-commerce and delivery services.

Wallis Cos., Cuba, Missouri, runs On the Run franchise stores in Missouri and Illinois. It also has Dirt Cheap stores, which offer beer, liquor, wine, cigarettes, party supplies, and at some stores, fuel. Wallis' portfolio of businesses also includes BriteWorX and Great River car washes, as well as a fuel transportation division for wholesale and commercial distribution.
