Convenience-store chain Weigel’s is extending its loyalty ecosystem beyond its own digital channels through a new integration that allows customers to earn rewards on orders placed through DoorDash.

Through the launch, customers ordering from Powell, Tennessee-based Weigel’s on the DoorDash Marketplace can now earn points and fuel rewards tied to the retailer’s MyWeigel’s Rewards program, bridging the gap between third-party delivery and in-store loyalty benefits. The capability is powered by a Marketplace Loyalty Proxy combined with the loyalty platform from PDI Technologies, Alpharetta, Georgia, enabling marketplaces to connect directly with a retailer’s existing loyalty infrastructure.

The integration allows convenience retailers to maintain continuity in their rewards programs even when transactions occur outside their own app or website.

The approach reflects a broader shift toward omnichannel engagement in convenience retail, where customers expect to earn and redeem rewards across multiple touchpoints including in-store, mobile apps, websites and third-party marketplaces, according to Houston-based Vroom.

Building on a growing digital loyalty ecosystem

The DoorDash integration builds on several recent digital investments from Weigel’s.

The MyWeigel’s Rewards platform has become a central pillar of the retailer’s customer-engagement strategy in recent years. The program allows members to earn points redeemable for fuel, pizza and other in-store items while receiving personalized offers and promotions through the mobile app.

Weigel’s has also leaned heavily into gamification and digital engagement features within the app. In 2025, the retailer introduced Streaks, a feature that rewards customers for checking into the app daily with milestone rewards after consecutive days of engagement.

Earlier initiatives included the launch of the Weigel’s Arcade, an in-app gaming experience that has surpassed 1 million plays and allows users to earn digital coins redeemable for rewards.

The company has also used the platform to power seasonal promotions and sweepstakes, such as its Win What You Spend campaign and summer Road Trip promotions offering prizes ranging from free fuel to outdoor gear.
