There’s no shortage of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) deadlines facing tobacco retailers and manufacturers, from updated addictiveness warning requirements to product applications for newly deemed tobacco products. But with deadlines constantly being changed, it’s tough to keep track of what’s due when and which deadline is for what.

As of publication, the nearest tobacco deadlines are for various electronic cigarette and vaping manufacturers to submit documentation to the FDA on youth appeal and usage (due in June and early July). The furthest deadlines are for manufacturers to submit substantial equivalence (SE) and premarket tobacco applications (PMTAs) for noncombustible products subject to the deeming rule. Those deadlines have been pushed back to August 2022.

Here’s a recap of all the important FDA tobacco due dates, starting with the closest deadlines.
