CTP Seeks Tobacco Growers Industry Representative

Center is looking to fill nonvoting position on Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee

SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) is looking for nominations for a representative of the tobacco growers industry to serve on the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC).

CTP is also in search of any industry organizations who can help select the new representative.

The committee advises CTP in its responsibilities in regulating tobacco products. It reviews and evaluates safety, dependence and health issues relating to tobacco products and makes recommendations to the FDA commissioner.

Nominations for both roles should be sent to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by June 22.
