Dunn held several positions within Swisher over his 37 years with the company. Although he is officially retiring, Dunn will remain on several industry boards and will act as a consultant to Swisher going forward.

“Bill is a well-respected legend in the tobacco industry and has always been a steadfast, results-driven leader. By staying on as a consultant for Swisher, we can tap into Bill’s expertise and knowledge at any time,” said John Miller, president of Swisher. “Bill’s experience and industry knowledge will continue to be integral to Swisher International’s continued growth and success.”

“I am proud of my many accomplishments and, in particular, the work I’ve done supporting industry issues,” Dunn said. “I can proudly say that many of the people I have worked with both inside and outside of Swisher have become friends, and today, that’s more important than the work itself.”

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Swisher has manufactured tobacco products since 1861. The company ships more than 2 billion cigars a year to more than 70 countries.
