GSP Helps Smoker Friendly Put on a New Face

POP services helping branding effort

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- GSP Marketing Technologies, a provider of point-of-purchase (POP) marketing solutions for the convenience retail industry, said that Smoker Friendly International LLC will use GSP's services in order to help extend the success of its Private Label brand of tobacco products into new retail stores.

GSP's Retail Branding Services will help update the visual image of Smoker Friendly's Private Label brand, and GSP will use its POPAssetmanager technology to track and properly distribute all of the POP resources that will be used in the [image-nocss] branding effort. GSP's distribution system will allow for zip code protection of Private Label distribution, ensuring sole-distributorship of products within specified zip codes, with no retail overlap.

The web-based PopAssetmanager will make it easy for Smoker Friendly Retailers to acquire the signage for their stores, said Mickey Falconburg, vice president of sales and marketing for Boulder, Colo.-based Smoker Friendly International.

"Our retail branding expertise will help Smoker Friendly reach a new level of product recognition for their Smoker Friendly brand," said Brian Dirks, regional account manager for GSP Marketing Technologies, Clearwater, Fla. "Using our POP AssetManager software will help Smoker Friendly precisely manage the inventory and distribution of crucial POP assets in their new campaign.

GSP specializes in helping c-store marketing professionals to increase store sales by tailoring POP programs to the specific needs of each retail location. In addition to tools such as POPRender, GSP also offers solutions such as POPManager, a web-based POP management tool that translates promotional data into store-specific marketing plans, and GSP Surveyor, a web-based application that helps retailers conduct low-cost electronic surveys of all store assets.
