NATO Seminar to Address Midyear Tobacco Trends

Retailer association hosts gathering on market, legislative issues

LAKEVILLE, Minn. -- NATO is hosting a one-day tobacco legislative and regulatory education seminar on Aug. 22 at the Omni Interlocken Hotel, 500 Interlocken Blvd., Broomfield, Colo. 

NATO’s goal for the education seminar is to provide informative presentations on the most important tobacco legislative and regulatory issues of the day. The agenda for the educational seminar event includes the following: 

Wed., Aug. 22

1:00 – 2:15 p.m. Tobacco Market Trends
Don Burke, Management Science Associates

2:15 – 3:15 p.m. Local, State and FDA Update
Thomas Briant, NATO executive director

3:15 – 3:30 p.m. Break

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Critical Issues Facing the Retail Tobacco Industry: A Panel Discussion

Brittani Cushman, National Tobacco Co.

In conjunction with the Smoker Friendly Annual Conference and Tobacco Festival being held at the same location over the two days following the NATO seminar, a hotel room block has been set aside at the Marriott Hotel for attendees of the NATO event. Rooms are limited, so make your hotel reservation early.
