Phillips & King Launching New Wholesale E-Commerce Platform

C-store distributor also rebranding
Phillips and King new logo

MOORPARK, Calif. —Specialty tobacco and alternative smoking products distributor Phillips & King International Inc. is updating its brand and launching a new wholesale e-commerce platform.

The new web platform, which the company expects to launch early in second-quarter 2022, will make it easier for stores to discover and stock products that customers most want, the company said. Phillips & King focuses on serving independent and small-chain convenience, tobacco and liquor retailers across the United States.

It will launch other enhancements throughout the year, including expanding its category assortment to give emerging brands the ability to reach more buyers, and stores access to the best new products on the market, Phillips & King said.

“We believe that retailers should be able to manage their entire business with ease from their mobile device and have access to business intelligence—and expert guidance—that helps drive inventory-buying decisions,” said Jason Carignan, president of Phillips & King. “This new platform is the first step in our quest to helping stores thrive in the new retail reality.”

The company is also unveiling a new brand identity. The updated logo—a contemporary refinement of its “shield and knight” badge—signifies its mission to modernize the business while paying homage to its 116-year heritage, Phillips & King said.

Phillips & King, Moorpark, Calif., is a subsidiary of Kretek International. It offers premium cigars, tobacco products, alternative tobacco products and accessories under brands including Cuban Rounds: Taste of Havana, Djarum, Raw, Zippo and more.
