GLENVIEW, Ill. — Republic Tobacco LP released new rolling papers with eco-conscious consumers in mind.
OCB Bamboo Rolling Papers and Papers and Tips use a bamboo-based paper that is vegan, GMO free and unbleached. The OCB brand is a best-seller in Europe, the company said.
No harsh fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides are used in the growing process for the bamboo, and it is responsibly harvested, according to the company. The plant’s durable fibers ensure the papers don’t run and produce a slow, even-burning smoke, it said.
The OCB Bamboo Rolling Papers come in 1-1/4 and Slim sizes, with and without tips. Tips are available on both sizes of the rolling paper to make rolling easier and improve air flow for more taste. Counter and modular displays are available to retailers for merchandising.
