Smoker Friendly Fetes Festival & Conference

Announces retailer roundtable participants for 14th annual event

BOULDER, Colo. -- Smoker Friendly International LLC will hold its 14th Annual Tobacco Festival & Conference form August 30 through September 1, 2010, at the Millennium Harvest House in Boulder, Colo. Each year, the opening day is dedicated to SF Retailer Round Tables for sharing and comparing ideas, both with manufacturers and industry experts, on being the best and most responsible tobacco retailers in the country.

This year, education sessions will be hosted by Karl Steinkamp on PCI compliance; Seth Mailhot on how to handle FDA Inspections at retail stores; Chris [image-nocss] McCalla on "Tobacconist University"; and Glynne Loope on " Cigar Rights of America."

Also, the following tobacco manufacturers will be spending time with retailers: Kent Zerangue, Western Region vice president of sales for Altria Sales & Distribution; Graham Purdy, vice president of sales for National Tobacco; Russ Mancuso, vice president of sales for Commonwealth Brands; Steve Sandman, vice president of sales for Republic Tobacco; Bill Sherman, executive vice president for Nat Sherman; Glenn Kassel, president of Freedom Smokeless; Rocky Patel, president of Rocky Patel Cigars; Charlie Torano, president of Torano Family Cigars; and Robert "Bobby" Newman, executive vice president for J.C. Newman Cigar Co.

With more than 700 stores across the United States, Boulder, Colo.-based Smoker Friendly is America's largest cigarette and tobacco store (CTS) retailer. The Smoker Friendly Authorized Dealer Program is designed for existing retail tobacco store operators who wish to market their own brand of competitively priced private-label products within an exclusive territory that is geographically protected. This program is for the tobacco retailer who would like the advantages of a buying group; wants more interaction with other cigarette and tobacco store retailers including information and idea sharing; clout with manufacturers; and the greater synergies that a nationally known private-label brand like Smoker Friendly provides.
