Smoker Friendly, which operates a mix of tobacco and convenience stores, concluded two back-to-back annual tobacco events that included legislative updates for tobacco retailers.

The Smoker Friendly Conference and Tobacco Festival (SFCTF) and the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival (RMCF) were held in succession, beginning with the SFCTF taking place Aug. 22-23, followed by the RMCF on Aug. 24. Both events were held in Broomfield, Colorado.

Azim Chowdhury and Daniel McGee of the law firm Keller and Heckman spoke at the SFCTF on the topic of current and future U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance. Glynn Loope, director of State Advocacy for the Premium Cigar Association, also addressed the attendees. The SFCTF hosted 130 vendors and more than 1,300 retail locations were represented, Smoker Friendly said.

“The 28th Annual Smoker Friendly Conference and Tobacco Festival was the biggest and best yet,” said Vice President of Operations at Smoker Friendly International LLC Keelan Gallagher. “It remains the premier event for showcasing products to the Smoker Friendly Authorized Dealer network.”
