Since 1980, this Appalachian giant has grown from just 16 stores to more than 100, with a strong emphasis on convenience store basics.

"Go-Mart has always had competitive prices on gasoline, diesel fuel, cigarettes, tobacco, beer, soft drinks and milk," said Paul Gaughan, general manger. "The stores are also in good locations and are well lit with friendly and courteous employees."

In recent years, the company has made significant investments in store quality. In 2012, Go-Mart acquired four units, built one and completed “lots of remodels,” including adding 28 beer caves for a total of 32. And remodeling will be the theme for 2014, along with erecting new sites and pursuing acquisitions. “There is a good chance we will purchase another store in 2014 and rebuild two existing stores," Gaughan said.
