Spanning five western states, ampmis the national convenience-store brand for BP. With coffee, bakery, fresh sandwiches and hot foods, ampm focuses on customization with a wide-ranging condiment bar and a fountain program that offers up to 24 different flavors of soda and proprietary drinks.
Stores have an open floor plan and many have open-air refrigerated cases to display fresh sandwiches, fruit and yogurt. ampm plan-o-grams the total store for franchisees, allowing 15% to 20% “flex” space for franchisees’ choices.
In May 2014, the company introduced its “to go” retail image, which is being offered to sites East of the Rockies. That retail image offers BP-branded marketers a new look inside and out, giving operators a variety of elements to fit their individual store needs, including store layouts, building exteriors and price signs.
