VPS Convenience Store Group is an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners Inc. It operates 163 c-stores in four Midwest states under the names Village Pantry and Next Door Stores.

VPS has added popular branded fast-food brands such as Subway, Chester's, Hunt Brothers, Hot Stuff, Godfather’s and Noble Roman Pizza. Many stores also offer breakfast and lunch menus, including hot dogs, chicken and comfort foods, as well as freshly made doughnuts and muffins.

VPS grew through acquisition to more than 400 locations, then sold all of the company-operated stores and dealer sites in its Southeast division to GPM Investments, operators of Fas Mart and Shore Stop stores. The Southeast stores continue to carry the brands Scotchman, Young's, Li'l Cricket, Everyday Shop, Breadbox and Cigarette City.

VPS maintains its Midwest division for now, with offices in Indianapolis and stores in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. GPM is expected to acquire the Midwest stores, but the sale has not closed as of January 2015.
