Based in Savannah, Ga., Enmark turned 50 years old in 2013. The chain operates stores and gas stations in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, with most in Georgia. The portfolio includes traditional c-stores, two tobacco outlets and 18 fuel kiosks.

In June 2015, the chain announced it is making a branding change to reflect its broader fresh food and health commitments. The new brand--enmarket--and new logo were unveiled at a store in Savannah, with all stores to be rebranded within a year.

New stores offer fresh food prepared on site, including hot breakfast items, chicken, sandwiches, pizza and more. The chain partnered with FreshOne on a new fresh food program at 37 sites in 2015.

Enmark is a subsidiary of Colonial Group Inc., a private company with extensive ownership in oil and gas-related companies. Colonial was ranked 59th in Forbes magazine’s 2012 listing of the nation’s largest private companies.
