The chain added one new-to-industry store in 2021. Early in the year, the chain announced “aggressive” plans that include more than $100 million in capital investments. During the year, the company increased its starting wage three times. The company’s starting wage is now $16 per hour. During the year, the chain launched its first private-branded beer, Rutter’s Chocolate Milk Stout, and in April 2022, it enhanced its Top-Tier-certified gasoline offering with premium diesel. Rutter’s is best known for its foodservice. Its menu includes made-to-order subs and wraps, burgers, seafood, salads, Mexican fare, bowls, pizza and breakfast sandwiches.
