CHR Corp.'s Rutter's is an industry leader in convenience-store design, sustainable construction, retail technology, restroom focus and foodservice innovation. For the fourth time, the company was the winner of the CSP's Intouch Insight Mystery Shop in 2023.

In 2022, Rutter's disclosed expansion plans for the next 100 years, with further growth in eastern and western Pennsylvania, entrance into the Virginia and Delaware markets and the remodeling of existing convenience stores to add alcohol and video-gaming terminals. It also enhanced its gasoline offering with premium diesel and introduced online ordering in 2023.

Rutter's is best known for its foodservice. Its menu includes made-to-order subs and wraps, burgers, seafood, salads, Mexican fare, bowls, pizza and breakfast sandwiches.

In 2023, Rutter's revamped its food packaging to highlight the chain's freshly prepared made-for-you menu options. It also debuted three new limited-time menu items—Kickin' Chicken and Waffles, The Donut Breakfast and Grilled Mac & Cheese.
