Ralph Luke founded Luke Oil in 1967 in Hobart, Indiana, as a supplier of home heating fuel. By 1980, Luke had transitioned into a fuel supplier for gas stations, and by 1990, Luke was one of the largest fuel suppliers in Northwest Indiana. By the 2000s, the company began purchasing convenience stores.
Today, the company has 29 Luke convenience stores, 12 Luke car washes and 15 LiqGo! liquor stores.
