Fresh foods and a wide variety of dispensed and packaged beverages are a hallmark of the family-owned Newcomb Oil's FiveStar convenience stores in Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. Chain officials said they are set to open four additional stores in 2025. Most of its sites are in the chain's home state of Kentucky. Stores also have a strong foodservice offer. Breakfast choices include biscuits, sandwiches and breakfast plates with a customer's choice of items. Hot deli foods, as well as hamburgers and sandwiches, are available at lunch. Salads, subs, wraps and sandwiches are on the menu all day. The chain typically adds four or five new stores per year. Newcomb Oil also distributes fuel to about 30 dealers. FiveStar keeps customers engaged with an active Facebook page. Customer comments frequently mention friendly service and clean restrooms.
