In 2025, Blarney Castle Oil Co. acquired the petroleum marketing and convenience retail business of Pri Mar Petroleum Inc., St. Joseph, Michigan. It operated 13 Pri Mart c-stores and supplied 12 wholesale dealers in southwestern Michigan, selling fuels under the bp, Amoco and CITGO brands.
As it has been since 1933, Blarney Castle remains a family-owned Michigan-based business, operating convenience stores branded EZ Mart in conjunction with fuel brand names such as bp, Marathon, Mobil, Shell and Sunoco. Many of the EZ Mart locations offer a proprietary food program, Lucky Louie's, and/or Chester's Chicken. In fall 2022, the company executed a purchase agreement with Alpena Oil Co. for 19 c-stores, which closed on Jan. 25, 2023.
About 75% of the EZ Mart locations are in northern Michigan, with the remaining locations in the more populated central and southern Michigan areas. Blarney Castle owns and operates 10 bulk plant locations that offer propane and home heating oil service, commercial fuel and bulk lubricant sales.
