In May of 2025, the Rutter's convenience chain opened its 90th store, its largest at nearly 14,000 square feet. Located at 921 Industrial Park Road, Milton, Pennsylvania, the store is "designed to provide the ultimate customer experience," the company said, with the facility housing the chain's second on-site bar and gaming lounge. Those locations include video gaming terminals and for those 21 and older, sells 75 alcohol beverage options, including canned cocktails, beer and wine.

The chain added two more locations in 2025, closing out the year at 92 stores.

CHR Corp.'s Rutter's is an industry leader in convenience-store design, sustainable construction, retail technology, restroom focus and foodservice innovation. The chain has won CSP's Intouch Insight Mystery Shop four times, with the latest being in 2023. In 2025, its third-generation president and CEO, Scott Hartman, became CSP's Retail Leader of the Year.

In 2022, Rutter's disclosed expansion plans for the next 100 years, with further growth in eastern and western Pennsylvania, entrance into the Virginia and Delaware markets and the remodeling of existing convenience stores to add alcohol and video-gaming terminals. It also enhanced its Top Tier-certified gasoline offering with premium diesel. The chain introduced online ordering in 2023.

Rutter's is best known for its foodservice. Its menu includes made-to-order subs and wraps, burgers, seafood, salads, Mexican fare, bowls, pizza and breakfast sandwiches.
