In early 2026, Pops Mart Fuel LLC sold 36 of its convenience stores to Dallas-based Sunoco LP, officials said. Prior to the sale, Cayce, South Carolina-based Pops Mart fuel had 54 c-stores located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Wisconsin. By March 2026, the company had divested the rest of its chain, officials said.
Pops Mart Fuel CEO Don Draughon said the company had considered acquiring more dealer sites and growing their footprint when they were approached by Sunoco, officials said. The synergies between the two companies compelled him to consider the sale. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
