Sampson-Bladen Oil Co. Inc. operates Han-Dee Hugo's convenience stores throughout North Carolina. In 2025, the Clinton, North Carolina-based company acquired 15 Breeze Thru Markets convenience stores from Cary, North Carolina-based Cary Oil Co. Sampson-Bladen's main market is the Research Triangle of Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham, North Carolina.

Prior to the Breeze Thru purchase, the company executed a deal in 2021, when Sampson-Bladen acquired the assets of Salisbury, North Carolina-based Rusher Oil Co. and Rushco Food Stores Inc., which operated 19 branded c-stores under the name Rushco Markets.

The company also has a loyalty and car wash subscription app for its customers.

On the fuel side, the company delivers to more than 50 dealers but is strictly a supplier and doesn't make any in-store purchasing decisions, officials said.
