Vintners Distributors owns and operates 155 retail locations under the Loop Neighborhood Market and Poppy Market convenience store brands in California, with many co-branded with Shell or Chevron fuel stations.
Last year, Poppy Markets LLC acquired 11 convenience stores from Newark, California-based Engineer's Associates Inc. and its affiliates, doing business as National Petroleum, and will be rebranding them all to Poppy Market, officials said.
Loop Neighborhood Market focuses on delivering a welcoming neighborhood destination with elevated convenience, including fresh food, premium coffee, better-for-you snacks and locally sourced products alongside traditional convenience essentials. Poppy Market represents the company's next-generation concept, designed to push the category forward with an enhanced customer experience that may include restaurant-style kitchens, EV charging, car washes and a strong private fuel brand connection, creating a modern roadside hub that blends convenience, comfort and innovation, the company said.
The brand family is supported by a fleet of more than 20 fuel tankers visible on highways throughout the region. In addition to its retail footprint, Vintners operates gas stations, car washes and a real estate development arm.
Its wholesale division supplies fuel to approximately 120 dealer locations, though the company does not influence merchandising or operations at those sites.
For benchmarking purposes, store counts are as of Jan. 1, 2026.
