Terrible’s is now carrying Splash Beverage Group’s Copa di Vino single-serve wine in all 115 of its convenience stores in the Las Vegas area.

Paradise, Nevada-based Terrible’s is selling four of Copa di Vino’s varietals.

Splash is a Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based portfolio company of beverage brands that also include Salt naturally flavored tequila, Pulpoloco Sangria and TapouT cognitive energy drink.

“This is a great retailer win, now made possible by the company’s ardent focus on building a distribution network capable of reaching these key chains which supports our strategic direction,” said Robert Nistico, CEO of Splash.

Bill Meissner, Splash president and chief marketing officer, added, “Terrible’s is a great retailer, synonymous with convenience in the exploding Las Vegas market. The Terrible’s shopper is a mix of Las Vegas residents and tourists in town for a great time; Copa di Vino single-serve wine is a fantastic fit for their product assortment."

Copa Di Vino launched with multiple appearances, the first in 2011, on the television series “Shark Tank” and is known for wine without the need for bottles, corkscrews or a glass, the company said.

Other c-store chains also have been adding Splash Beverage products. Circle K, a retail brand of Alimentation Couche-Tard, Laval, Quebec, in the fall began selling four varietals of Copa di Vino in more than 130 convenience stores in Alabama and northern Florida.

About 4,000 7-Eleven and Speedway stores last year started selling Pulpoloco Sangria, which comes in three varietals. The sangria is made in Madrid, Spain, following the family recipe of the brand’s founder, Paul Damon, the company said. Pulpoloco is packaged in an innovative, ecofriendly paper can called the CartoCan that minimizes its environmental effects.

Finally, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores in 2022 added single-serve Copa di Vino wines in 70 stores in Texas.

Splash Beverage Group owns a growing portfolio of alcohol and non-alcohol beverage brands. Splash’s strategy is to rapidly develop early-stage brands already in its portfolio as well as acquire and then accelerate brands that have high visibility or are innovators in their categories, it said.

Terrible Herbst Oil Co., also known as Terrible’s, is a privately held company. It began in 1959 and now operates about 180 convenience stores and gas stations and more than 80 car washes in Nevada, California, Utah and Arizona.
