CHICAGO -- Human trafficking will be a major topic of discussion at the upcoming Annual Loss Prevention and Safety Networking Meeting.
The conference is hosted by the Loss Prevention and Safety Networking Group (LPN), Chandler, Ariz., a share group for c-store professionals in loss prevention, safety, security and risk management. The 16th Annual Loss Prevention and Safety Networking Meeting is taking place Feb. 20-22, 2019, in Dallas at the Marriott Suites.
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. This month, CSP has partnered with NACS and other convenience-retailing media groups to help raise awareness of how communities can combat human trafficking.
In addition to a presentation on human trafficking, the LPN meeting will also feature education on:
- Law enforcement interaction with high-risk stores
- Vehicle safety
- Self-serve checkouts
- Food safety to prevent injuries
- FBI cybersecurity
Other features of the annual conference include networking opportunities, c-store loss-prevention and safety benchmarking and open discussions on topics suggested by LPN members.
As with all LPN events, participation in the annual meeting is limited to retailers only to allow for more open discussion. For more information, contact LPN Coordinator Gary Cartwright at lpngroup@aol.com.
