QuikTrip’s new travel center in Rockford, Illinois, is now open.
The location, off Interstate 90 at 8070 E. State St., offers service for 18 cars for gas and six diesel bays for trucks.
The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based retailer has 13 convenience stores in the Midwest state with three more locations under construction and scheduled to open this year. The location of the new stores will be in University Park, a south suburb of Chicago; Romeoville, a southwestern suburb of Chicago; and Bloomington, located in central Illinois.

“We are excited to continue bringing QuikTrip’s signature commitment to quality and efficient service to Rockford,” said QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson. “Our travel center model will offer a safe, clean and friendly stop for the many travelers driving along I-90 as well as local residents in the area.”
The Rockford location features a more spacious store design than a traditional QuikTrip and brings two dozen new jobs to the area, QuikTrip said.
The store will feature a full-service kitchen with fresh, made-to-order meals, grab-and-go options including QuikTrip’s signature pizza by the slice and roller grill items.
QuikTrip is a privately held company. Founded in 1958, the chain now operates more than 900 stores in 17 states.
