10 Products From Natural Products Expo West

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Natural and better-for-you products are beginning to stake their claim on c-store shelves, and Natural Products Expo West is one of the biggest trade shows of the year for these new, innovative products. 

One such product is a tortilla-style chip by The Real Coconut, a brand founded by holistic restaurateur and hotelier Daniella Hunter. Flavors include Himalayan Pink Salt, Thai Green Curry and Chipotle Barbecue. The brand will release new products throughout this year, too.

New brand Wilde Boldr slow roasts grass-fed, free-range and uncured meats and turns them into ready-to-eat snacks. Options include Maple Bacon Blueberry, Sweet Thai Basil, Turkey Cranberry and Peach BBQ.

Munk Pack pouches of squeezable fruit oatmeal are a grab-and-go alternative to standard breakfast snacks such as protein bars and trail mix. This ready-made oatmeal is non-GMO, high in fiber, gluten-free and made with real fruit. The product is vegan and packaged in BPA-free packs.

Another meats-snack innovation, 4505 Chicharrones are made with ethically sourced meat and are available in Smokehouse BBQ, Classic Chili & Salt and Jalapeno Cheddar flavors.

Chef’s Cut Real Snack Sticks are high-protein chef-crafted snacks made with real ingredients. They are available in pork, beef and chicken. The company also manufacturers bagged jerky, which has 100 calories and 12 grams of protein per serving.

Smash Mallow is a line of gluten-free marshmallows that are made with organic cane sugar and other quality ingredients. The flavors include Root Beer Float, Toasted Coconut Pineapple Mint Chocolate Chip, Strawberries & Cream, Meyer Lemon Chia Seed, Cinnamon Churro and Espresso Bean. These sweet treats come in a stand-up pouch and are ideal for snacking or baking.

Angie's Boomchickapop released three new flavors: Dark Chocolaty Drizzled Sea Salt Kettle Corn, Caramel and Milk Chocolaty Peanut Butter. These indulgent treats also have a better-for-you agenda and clock in at just 120 calories per cup.

The Little Kernel is half the size of standard popped puff or corn and is made with 100% olive oil. Gluten-free and non-GMO, this popcorn is made using a healthier olive oil popping process. It comes in Naked (no salt added), Truffle Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan Salt, White Cheddar, Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn, and Butter varieties.

Primizie released its Ancient Sprouted Grains Cripsbreads. Crafted from a blend of flours and grains to create a naturally gluten-free option, these snacks are non-corn-based and come in four flavors, including Smoked Cheddar, Rustic Beets, Ancient Grains and Green Harvest.

RW Garcia introduced three new pulse tortilla chips: Black Bean & Garlic, Lentil & Turmeric and Hummus & Red Bell Pepper. These snacks are made with sustainable, clean ingredients.
